IMS, Inc. Stone Restoration and Preservation Division are not renovators. We are restorators. Here is the difference:
Renovation – This involves cleaning and polishing the floor using many chemicals to get the job done. After renovation, the floor does not resemble the original installation and this technique is primarily a janitorial/sanitation approach to stone care.
Restoration – Means restoring the stone to its ORIGINAL condition. We do what fabricators do by duplicating their process. In most cases, we use only diamond abrasives and water which is what was used in the factory. To put it simply, IMS re-fabricates your stone floor using the same process that was used in the factory without harsh chemicals and other cosmetic alterations. There are no temporary “smoke screens” in our work.
This is what separates the IMS Stone division from everyone else. We are so confident in our results that we will perform a small demo for you. At the end of the demo we suggest comparing the results to a new stone from your closet stock and you will see an exact match or dramatic improvement. Try the same comparison with another company and you will see the difference.
